He won't go to sleep after being awake for 3 hours!
Jacob is doing very well. He does not have a feeding schedule anymore...he basically eats when he wants to. He eats from 40 mL to 140 mL at any given feeding time. At the end of the day, the amount of daily intake is pretty much the same. Sometimes he wants LOTS and sometimes he doesn't! Because I'm not working this school year, it's easier for me to accommodate my schedule to his. The hardest part is when he wants to be awake in the wee hours! The video of him crying above is an example!
Jacob is still on reglan and pepcid. The doctor increased it from 0.15 mL to 0.3 mL because of his weight gain. He's also on iron. The blood results from last week showed that his numbers decreased again...but the doctor is not worried YET. We have to take him in next week for another test.
We don't know what Jacob's current weight is, but we know he's growing. I guess we're doing something right! =)
Things are kind of quiet now...Jeremiah went back to work on Dec. 1st after taking 3 weeks off for paternity leave and the family is gone. It was nice having Jeremy home...he's such a great husband. He's so good with Jacob too...he has lots of patience. He takes over when I appear to be "kinda" stressed. He's really good with reading my emotions. Jacob and I miss him a lot when he's at work. We always look forward to his days off...
We are so excited to spend this christmas with Jacob...it's his first! I do miss the shopping though...we don't want to take Jacob to the mall and expose him to any type of viral infections, so I will be doing my shopping online! And...be on the look out for our greeting/birth announcement cards this month!! We love you all.
