Our Jacob

I've posted random pictures taken over the past few weeks. As you look through these cute and funny pictures, you'll notice Jacob's personality. He keeps us absolutely busy. He is quick and smart and often gets into trouble. We think he has started the terrible two's...

Here, Jakey just woke up from a nap on Jeremiah's chest. It's one of his favorite places to nap. I think kangaroo care in the NICU had A LOT to do with it. ;)
In the Sorensen household, one of the things that we ALL fight over is the remote control. The winner is usually Jacob.
You can see why he always wins...that smile always gets us all the time.

Here, he is showing us that he's tired. We'd ask, "Jacob, are you tired?" His reply would be to throw his head back and give a big sigh. It's the cutest thing ever!
He's fascinated with himself in the mirror.
He's so funny. This picture makes me chuckle.
Here we are on our way to get his first synagis shot for the RSV season. Poor kid...he received two large doses.
His favorite thing to do now is to tip over ALL of his toys. If not that, throwing them on the kitchen floor to produce the loudest sound possible.
Here, we are getting ready for our walk outside. This is where he always sits for me to put on his shoes. When he sees me grabbing his favorite stride rite shoes, he runs over the to steps and sits himself down.

S-P-O-I-L-E-D! Yes, spoiled! Jeremiah spoils Jacob with tons of toys and books at least once or twice a week! I seriously don't know what we're going to do for Christmas...
Tipping over...throwing objects...oh yes, don't forget banging things as well. He likes to bang on the keyboard and gets so excited over it. When we put on the blog for him to see his pictures, he gets so hyper and jumps and laughs. It's so cute. I guess he wants to emulate his parents. This kid is going to be a genuis.
An outfit Jeremiah bought for Jacob that I thought was super cute.
These are Jacob's pals from Dameron's Parent Support Group meeting this month. To the far left is Trinity born at 31 weeks at 2 lbs 5 oz. The one looking at the camera is Emily who was born at 26 weeks. Behind her is her darling sister, Aubrey. And to the right is our busy little bee, Jacob.
These kids have so much fun when they're together. It's so wonderful to see how much they grow each time we meet. As a matter of fact, at this meeting, a sorority presented the JACOBs to the NICU to give to parents. It's super cute.
He has a hard time walking in his rainboots. I can't wait for him to be able to walk around in it. Thanks, Aunt Steph!

Halloween Fun!

Enjoy the pictures and videos of Jacob's "first" (we were in the hospital last year) Halloween. We went to the town's parade for five minutes before leaving as quickly as we could. There were so many people and we didn't want Jacob to get sick. We went home, rested a little, and trick or treated. We went to TWO houses! It was fun. We ended the night passing candy. Halloween was fun this year. However, Jacob caught a bug. He's sick! Boo-hoo!
