...the new addition to our family! The last infertility treatment was a success. While I thought it was a failed treatment because I was bleeding the night before the blood test was to be taken, the results came back positive. Another blood test was ordered two days after the initial one to confirm the pregnancy and the numbers went up from 105 to 319 for the Beta hCg. That's a good sign! The pregnancy was going well for a few weeks until yesterday afternoon. I began to bleed again. I called the Advice Nurse and they scheduled an appointment for an ultrasound this morning to figure out what was going on. I thought to myself that I couldn't believe this was happening again as it happened with my pregnancy with Jacob. I was sure they were going to prescribe prometrium for the next couple of weeks, but to my surprise, they didn't. The doctor explained that we might not see much on the screen because I'm only 6 weeks 4 days pregnant...BUT we did! We saw the baby's heartbeat. It was amazing. The doctor said the heartbeat was strong and both Jeremiah and I felt a sigh of relief that everything was going to be okay. It was actually the first thing we both noticed when we saw the baby on the screen. We have been blessed with another opportunity to have a baby and we are so grateful and humble to be given this chance again. We are so HAPPY

Celebrating our 9 year anniversary!

June 22, 2010 was our 9 year anniversary. It's amazing how fast it has been since we've been sealed together. We have grown so much as individuals, as a couple, and as a family. We are so blessed to have each other in our lives. Our lives continue to change and with that, we have grown so much closer to each other (when I'm not moody). I feel so fortunate to have married such a wonderful man. He loves me unconditionally and works hard to provide for our family. I don't tell him this enough, but he is truly our hero and we love him very very much.

For our anniversary, Jeremiah decided to 'finally' take me to watch Wicked in San Francisco. We took Bart from Dublin and it dropped us off right in front of the Orpheum Theatre. The show was spectacular and I loved every minute of it. Because I didn't read the program really well, Jeremiah tricked me into thinking that the show was over when Elphie sang her Defying Gravity song, but it was actually the intermission. At first, I was like...nuh uh...then he was like...yeah huh...then, I got up real fast to try to beat the crowd to get out of the theatre. He then started to laugh and told me he was just kidding! I give him credit for that...he got me realllll good! Wicked was a great end to a fabulous day celebrating our anniversary!

Atascadero Zoo, Atascadero

While in Pismo, we decided to take a trip to the zoo in Atascadero. It was about 20 minutes away from our hotel and we thought Jacob would have fun...and he did. He had lots of 'oooohs' and 'ahhhs' and 'yays' when he saw the different animals there. The animals were very close, so we were able to see them very well. It was a really small zoo, which was perfect because it was hot! Jacob still enjoys watching the videos and pictures taken during this trip. He cries every time I turn off the camera. We can definitely say that this outting was way worth it!
These are called, Jacob Sheeps. They were very 'communicative' because it was their lunch time. Jacob loved it because he imitated their sounds and kept revisiting their area at this zoo.
One of his many 'excited' expressions, which we love so much!

Jacob watching the meerkats play with their toys.
Isn't this cute?
He was really fascinated with the flamingos!
This is an example of how close we were to the animals. I wasn't too comfortable, but Jacob loved it!
We went to the park for a little bit before leaving Atascadero. Jacob loves going down the slide.
Jacob saying, "Baaaa."

Children's Discovery Museum, San Luis Obispo

Jacob loved building objects with magnets. We were at this station for a good ten minutes! Then, we had to come back because he wasn't finished. And then, for the third time before we left the museum!
He got to sit in a fire truck! That was way awesome and he just thought he was the coolest person ever steering the wheel. We tried getting him to wear the uniform and helmet, but he refused and just wanted to climb in the driver's seat! Hahaha.

Another magnetic wheel thingy that you had to connect for it to move. Again, he really enjoyed this part of the museum.
Riding on the pendulum was NOT his favorite part of the museum. He was so scared!
Climbing with Daddy...
The police motorcycle was huge, but really cool!
He likes trains a lot, so this was definitely a hit!

More trains!!

Water play was a success...he loved getting wet!

He was able to get inside the train and play with buttons and such...

Pismo Beach Trip

For Father's Day and our 9 year anniversary, we took a family trip down to Pismo Beach. We had such a great time. Jacob loved playing with sand. We also went to the Atascadero Zoo and the Children's Discovery Museum in San Luis Obispo. We enjoyed the beach everyday and eating yummy and delicious food. Most of all, we loved spending time with each other and enjoyed every second watching Jacob discover the world around him. I will post pictures from the zoo and the museum later this evening, but we are now off to SuperFranks with a few friends. I'll edit this post later as well...enjoy! He was so curious and excited to be at the beach. He ran all over the place and laughed while at it. It was absolutely adorable! The first day we got there, the weather wasn't very nice. It was foggy and a bit cold. Luckily, it warmed up the next couple of days during our stay, which made it so much more enjoyable to hang out at the beach! Aunt Monica bought Jacob water shoes and we are so glad she got them for him because he didn't like walking on sand barefoot!
That's our hotel in the background. We really liked our stay there and are considering going back at the end of summer! This is one of my favorite snapshots of Jeremiah and Jacob. Love it! If we didn't pull him out of the water, he would have just stayed there or go in deeper!

Our second day at the, they are filling up the buckets with water. It was coooooold.
Yup, we brought his water and sand table with us and he had a total blast!! He would play and not stop to rest or have a snack. It was so worth the money!

This is a tribute to GRANDPA SORENSEN...we didn't bring any tennis shoes and it was cold outside, so we put on socks with sandals for the little guy! (Dad, this is Jer's
Our third day and he is owning the beach!

He kept banging the doors of this armour, so we had to block it with our luggage. Then, he decided to climb on it and jump. He never gets bored and always keeps us busy. Our last day in sad...we didn't want to leave! We taught Jacob to wipe his hands on his clothes when he got sand on it. He is such a germ freak like his mom. He always asks for wipes or holds his hands out for us to clean it for him.

Here, we stopped at a park on the way home.
