Video: Jacob has been pinching and scratching us. Each time we say no, he either pinches harder or walks away, then comes back to do it again. So, today I've figured out how to help him understand why it's not okay. If he pinches or scratches, we'd take his hand into our hand and look at him and say sternly, "No pinch/scratch." He knows we mean it and would cry. We have also found a location for a "time out," which is in front of the ottoman that is blocking the DVD player, etc. He is there for a little bit (less than 10 seconds) until he either wants us to hug or hold him. My parents would be totally opposed to this idea, but...? Check out the video.
