Mr. Busy Body

Jacob loves books! I can't keep up with him sometimes!
Any ideas for organization? I've bought bins and baskets, etc. but I cant seem to make the play area clean and neat...oh wait, I've forgotten that I have a 1 1/2 year old...neverhhhhh...mind... How do I keep Jacob busy so I can wash dishes??

Tried to take the pot away from him so we could get ready for a bath...he wasn't too happy.

Baby stuff e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e...on counters and on shelves and on the floor...it's all over the place!! yikes!!

Update: The numbers went down from the blood test, so it was a failed pregnancy. This cycle is way too weird and crazy. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I was pregnant mid-cycle. It's so strange! Anyway, I will have to go in next week for another test to make sure my number gets back to the negatives before starting the next treatment cycle. Pray for us!!!

IMpossible!

Received a call from the doctor this morning and was told NOT to take birth control pills. Awaiting results from a second blood draw tomorrow to figure out what is really going on.

Antagonist

The ultrasound appointment yesterday did not go well. My follicles, there were sooo many of them, did not grow at all since Tuesday's appointment, which was strange. So, the doctor said no to the hCG and insemination, which was planned for today. The bleeding, which is now more of a menstrual cycle (last cycle ended last Wednesday) was also a red flag for the doctor. They don't know what it is, but it disrupted the cycle and now I am prescribed an antagonist, otherwise known as birth control pills.. Boy was I super emotional when the doctor said that. I will probably go in sometime next week for a re-consult and figure out where to go from here. My biggest concern is being told that I could never have babies again. I am so blessed to have family and friends who can provide strength and hope when I need it most. I am also grateful for Raley's strawberry cake we had last night. =D

Pain

Jacob has been sick for a week and a half. I brought him in to get checked bc we were worried about his breathing. Well, his sats are fine...oxygen level was 98.9 %. However, we found out that he has a double ear infection. Doc is putting him on amoxicillin.

Pa has been in pain too. =( I'm experiencing abnormal spotting/bleeding after a regular menstrual cycle. Doc said it could be a hormonal thing, which is quite normal, but today I was struck by sharp pains in my right abdominal area and it scared me to death. I almost cried in front of my students. They were so sweet though...asking me how I was doing throughout the day. My mom thinks I haven't fully healed from Jacob's delivery and suggested that I stop infertility treatments. Jeremiah thinks I'll be okay. I'm just scared. I'm going back in tomorrow for a follicle scan and my insemination day will most likely be Saturday. I don't know what to do after this cycle. I'll pray.

Work has been absolutely stessful. It hasn't been good and it has affected the mood (mine of course) and the activities in the house.

Just did some research...

"Bleeding during mid-cycle does not indicate menses. If Ovulation Bleeding is severe or long-lasting, and/or are accompanied by pain or acute discomfiture, it may be a sign of a severe problem. However, if the bleeding is extremely mild and short, and is not accompanied by pain and discomfort, it may be completely normal..."

"Sometimes ovulation bleeding may be accompanied by pain on one or other side of the lower abdomen. It depends on the site of ovulation - on which ovary is expelling the ovum on that cycle. This pain , also called 'ovulation pain' or 'mittelschmerz', lasts for about 12 - 24 hours. It increases on any movement, even during walking."

Happy Valentine's Day!

This year for Valentine's Day, I surprised Jeremy with a nice dinner on Saturday night. Jacob was a great help too (this is before I had batter all over my face and chest)...he mixed the brownie batter! We then used cookie cutters to make heart shaped brownies. Jeremy surprised us too. He brought home a dozen of red roses, a new digital camera (since Jacob broke the current one), and the cutest card everrrrr! On Sunday, we had a great Sabbath...very spiritual and for dinner, Jeremiah made portebella stuffed ravioli with white sauce. It was yummy. We had a good Valentine's weekend this year. Looking forward to more in the years to come.

I was so exhausted pushing Jacob around in this car. We only made it half a block before I felt like my back was going out on me. I'm so out of shape! When I gave up, he wouldn't move! We stayed in this spot for quite some time. =)

Out for a walk

Okay, so I think I am starting a cold because I have been blowing out yellow and green snot, which is so gross, but wanted Jacob to get out because we have been in the house the last 36 hours. I decided to have him take out his favorite car to keep him occupied. He had such a good time that people driving by would stop to say...'He's sooo cute!' =D

He has gotten so much bigger. Seeing him everyday makes it not as noticeable... his feet were dragging when I pushed him along the sidewalk...it was funny.

He is sometimes so focused on other objects that he doesn't look where he's going. He almost drove himself off the sidewalk so many times. I almost twisted my ankle too because I was wearing my clogs.

I wasn't paying attention and he fell. There was a slight slope and he couldn't stop himself fast enough and fell over. He tumbled over twice and got up without crying. I wish you could see his pouty lips though.

Jacob happenings...

Baking oatmeal cranberry white chocolate chunk cookies with mommy! He was so happy to sit on top of the island. He was closely supervised!
Cranberries are one of his favorite snacks!
Having breakfast in Chinatown with Grandma, Grandpa, Oeum Proh, and Junior! It was a nice surprise to have breakfast with my brother and his son. It was lots of fun!

Junior loves his cousin. All day they copied each other's actions and it was pure entertainment! Jacob learned how to make karate moves against a door from Junior. Junior learned how to jump and stomp on the scale from Jacob.

Big bear hugs!! We loooove big bear hugs! The only thing was that Jacob didn't expect such a tight one...lol...if you know anything about Junior, he has heavy hands and doesn't realize it! He's going to be a great football player one day! Anyhow, he absolutely adores and is very protective of Jacob. They are going to be really good buddies!

He has gotten so big. When I brought Jacob downstairs, Isaac said, "Oh my goodness, he is so cute!" Isaac is such a sweetie!

Smith...he will be good buddies with Jacob because he will totally watch out for him and beat up anyone who messes with Jacob!

Bedtime is 8:30pm...it is now 11:30 pm...that smile on his face doesn't convince me that he's ready for bed...*sigh*

Hide and go seek...can you find Jacob? because...sometimes, we cannot! This gate is used to block him from getting to Gracie because he keeps throwing his toys over for her to chew on. Well, whaddayakno?? He has learned how to bypass the gate. He uses his left foot to hold down the gate, and scoots his body through the opening to get to the other side. Now how did he learn how to do that??? Smart, smart, busy boy!

Oh yes, I forgot to add that we caught him, once, playing with the airwicks. He was in deep trouble. He threw a tantrum...but, he had to know it was not okay! I should also add that he has learned how to turn on and off any electronic device and knows open the cd player.

Found out results on Tuesday the 2nd...it was negative...cycle began on Thursday the 4th ...baseline ultrasound on Friday the 5th ...started letrozole on Saturday the 6th and ends on Wednesday the 10th...follicle count via ultrasound on Tuesday the 16th...hCg injections dependent on that appointment and insemination will be scheduled as well.

Results are in...

Results are negative. I will go back for cycle 2 on day three and repeat everything. I'm bummed, but I'm okay. The oreo shake totally helped...but most of all, walking in the door after work and getting the biggest hug from the cutest little boy ever made it so much better. I loved that he clung onto my hips and laid his head on my shoulder. He must have known the results before I did...it meant so much to me. Thank you, Jacob Thomas. I love you. =)
