Happy Halloween! This year, we spent Halloween at the San Antonio Zoo. Last year, we were at Disneyland! I think the zoo could have done a better job at candy selection and not charging to play their games, but I'm totally comparing it to our experience at Disneyland, so it's not really fair. Overall, the kids had a good time. Taylor didn't give us a hard time with the costume. He agreed to let Jeremiah put it on for him. He's such a good boy.
So here, we were waiting for Jer and Jake to use the restroom. There was a kid standing right in front of Taylor with his face painted like a joker and he kept making faces and noises at Taylor, which made him scream and cry. I felt bad, but I had to tell the kid to stop and not scare Taylor. I'm like...for real!?!? Come on.
Emma was so cute!!! I love that handmade bow made by her fav aunt, Monica.
Since it was so warm there, we couldn't let Jake wear his black sweater and black sweat pants, so we put together what we could. It worked.
The hood lasted a mere two seconds before he cried for us to take it off!! I was lucky to get a snapshot. Hehehe.
The candy was not all that great.
Can't get enough of my princess.
It was hard to enjoy visiting the animals again with so many people and so many game booths and so much candy.
Jake getting a bat stamp. He loves stamps.
Yummy lollipop...just about the only candy, if not trick, the kids would choose from a bin.
Pouting because he wanted to go play a game, but we said no.
This was one of the many game stations they had at the zoo.
Before we left San Antonio, we had to get a picture of the Alamo. Our hotel was right across the street, so we had NO excuse not to take a picture. We were there earlier in the day having lunch at the park, but didn't take pictures.
Jake will be learning about this at school since it's part of Texas history. Now, he can say he's been to the Alamo!! :)
