32 years

I turned 32 years old on October 4th. It was a great birthday, so great, I'll remember it forever! Jer made dinner and bought me two dozen of the most gorgeous roses ever and a brand new camera. I mean it's pretty high tech. I think I've spent a few hours reading manuals etc. and many hours pinning ideas for photography. But my sister said, I wouldn't benefit from any of those until I start experimenting and that is what I did! It is so much fun. As high tech as this camera is, I still can't take good shots. I move way too much. Here are a few of my first and second day uses.
Daddy bought Emma a new toy, just because. :)
I love how she sucks in her bottom lip. She does it all the time!
She crawls where ever there are people and most of the time, we are in the kitchen. Lucky for us, daddy is letting mommy buy more leg warmers so she wouldn't get scraped and bruised knees from rubbing them on the cold hard tile.
Daddy suggested that we put on a bow. Yup, he loves his little girl.
OH and that smile...just melts our hearts!
No one was playing with her, so she found her little lamb grandma gave her when she came to visit in April.
Hard floor again.
Home from school and going on the computer is one of his favorite hobbies.
This kid...it's just hard being 19 months old. It really is.
Yes, got that smile outta him.
He held that smile for so long because I was trying to play around with the camera. Poor kid...his character lost its life (game) while waiting for me to take the picture.

Tball

Jacob started playing tball this year and it has been so much fun for him. He loves it and best of all, his best buddy is on the same team! He is on the Houston Astros team and I can probably compare his team to...the team on Sandlot...before they were good. Hehehe. It is a lot of fun watching them play. We get a good laugh at every game. They are so cute.

Here, he is on third base getting ready to run home.

And...he's comin' in!!!
Practicing at home with Daddy and Taylor in the backyard why mom chases everyone trying to experiment with her birthday present, her new camera.
Don't even ask me how much that bat cost...for real.
He always has some kind of stain on his face.
Tried to do one of those corner shots...just wished his shirt wasn't falling off his shoulders like that...

First day of Pre-K

Jake's first day of pre-k went awesome! He loves Ms. Kim and Ms. Cristyn. We celebrated the first day by getting ice cream sandwiches at the Nestle Toll House Cookie shop, our new family tradition. So proud of all our kids.

Mother's group

I joined a mother's group in Katy and made some new friends. It was great because the meeting days didn't interfere with Jake's school schedule and it worked out great. We were always busy during the week and it made the day go by fast. It was always difficult bringing the kids out, but so worth it at the end...exhausted and ready to cry/breakdown feeling before getting home, but my kids always made it obvious how much fun they had each time. Here, we went to a splash pad.

He wouldn't get out of the stroller.

I missed Mother's Day at Jacob's school because we had a walk through for our home. I was so disappointed at myself and cried because he was the only one without a mom to put makeup on for and he wouldn't participate with his friend's mom either. When I went to pick him up from school, he was the only one there waiting for me. My heart dropped a million miles down. It was heartwrenching because earlier that morning, he helped put makeup and nail polish in his backpack for that day's event. So, when we got home, he was able to do whatever he wanted with me and he even got a treat!!
We registered Jake for science camp at this school, which would later be the pre-k that he would attend in the Fall. He had a blast everyday and learned something new and brought experiments home to show and tell! It was awesome!

Galveston with Grandma and Grandpa

The kids had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa! They went to the zoo, the aquarium, and the beach. Jacob had a blast with Grandpa at the beach. Taylor was a little clingy. He had it pretty rough at that time...a new baby, E-Ca's visit, Mama and KongKong's visit, now Grandma and Grandpa's visit. It was a lot for him to take in.

I love love looove this picture!

Easter suits

For Easter, my mom bought the boys some church suits. You can tell it was a struggle to get them to take a decent picture together.

Charming as he can ever be....

Silliness in his face, of course...

Doesn't understand why and what we are doing to him...
